I'm not really into making plastic models and especially not cars. But having said that, I've just finished a 40yr old Airfix Bentley kit, so there must be some interest in this genre even if I don't feel there is. The only reason I chose to buy this particular model is that it brings back some memories from when I was a child. My Uncle Denis brought a DS19 to our house in the very early 70's and I marvelled at the single-spoke steering wheel. It seemed so futuristic, as did the rest of the car! It almost certainly wasn't his car and I don't know how he came to be driving it, but it was something that etched a long-term memory in my brain.
I tried to get hold of EBBRO's DS19 model but stock was just not available anywhere, so I bought the 21 (which is equally beautiful anyway, if not more so). I feel quite sure that I'll do a terrible job of making this model, but you've gotta learn somehow haven't you? It'll be a while before I start because I've just begun a wooden boat model which will take quite some time to complete.
The first thing that impressed me about this EBBRO model is the clarity of the 'glass' parts. I'll have to do my best not to ruin those with gluey fingerprints, LOL.
Here's Leno's fabulous example of a DS...
OOOPS!! I just bought another Citroen - before I've even started the first one, lol.
